At Falcon Software, our approach to human resources is clear: we hire individuals who possess a strong balance of technical and business skills, underpinned by a solid work ethic that emphasizes cooperation, collaboration, and teachability. We are committed to respecting and learning from our team’s diverse nationalities, races, and abilities. These values are consistently applied across all our relationships, including with employees, contracted resources, and vendor partners.
Currently, the staff composition at Falcon Software maintains a balanced gender ratio of approximately 50/50. Heather MacFayden, our Vice-President and PMO for nearly thirty years, has risen from an administrative assistant to become one of the most knowledgeable and respected technical leaders in our field. We also actively collaborate with local educational institutions like the University of Victoria and Camosun College, offering co-op programs that provide students with direct, hands-on experience.
Falcon Software is co-owned by Gary and Kristen Eisenstein. Their distinct yet unified leadership forms the bedrock of our company’s ethos, which is to acknowledge, respect, and support our employees’ individual qualities, thereby enhancing and strengthening our team as a whole.
Community Involvement
Since its founding, Falcon Software has led and participated in various community support initiatives. Through the Falcon Community Involvement Program, we developed and deployed websites for multiple non-profit organizations, and hosted fundraising events including auction dinners and golf tournaments. Among the beneficiaries of our efforts are notable organizations such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, the BC SPCA, Wounded Warriors BC, and the Westshore Warriors Youth Football Association.
Environmental Sustainability
Falcon Software is committed to making a meaningful impact on environmental sustainability wherever possible. A significant portion of our team works from home, which helps reduce vehicle pollution and the consumption of non-renewable resources. We have also downsized our administrative office to a more efficient size, cutting down on electricity use and other fossil fuels.
We are proud to occupy a space in a brand-new eco-friendly mass timber building for our Victoria administration office, which features large windows for natural lighting, motion-triggered LED lighting, geothermal temperature control, and raised floors with an advanced airflow system. Additionally, we have almost completely eliminated the use of paper and printing products. We consistently strive to maintain and prolong the life of our IT equipment infrastructure, thereby minimizing technical waste.
