Our Social Values

At Falcon Software, we prioritize a people-first approach to hiring and workforce development. Our recruitment strategy focuses on selecting individuals with a well-rounded blend of technical and business expertise, coupled with a strong work ethic that fosters collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning. We are deeply committed to embracing and celebrating the diverse backgrounds, nationalities, abilities, and perspectives of our employees, contracted resources, and vendor partners.

The company’s dedication to gender equity is reflected in our workforce, where we maintain a balanced gender ratio. A testament to our commitment to professional growth and inclusivity is Heather MacFayden, Falcon Software’s PMO Manager, who has been with Falcon Software for nearly three decades. Rising from an administrative assistant role, Heather is now one of the most respected technical leaders in our industry.

We actively engage with local educational institutions such as the University of Victoria, Royal Roads University and Camosun College, providing co-op and internship opportunities that equip students with hands-on experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional development.

About the Ownership

Falcon Software is co-owned by Gary and Kristen Eisenstein, whose complementary leadership fosters a workplace culture centered on respect, inclusion, and support. With deep roots in the Greater Victoria Region, Gary and his wife Kristen have lived the majority of their lives in the Victoria area, where they also raised their two daughters. Their long-standing commitment to the community is reflected not only in their business ethos but also in their civic engagement.

Gary also holds the position of Executive Board Director for the Better Business Bureau in Victoria since July 2010, advocating for ethical business practices and consumer trust. In addition, Gary’s entrepreneurial achievements were recognized early in his career when he was named Victoria Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1992.

Together, Gary and Kristen have built a company culture that prioritizes diversity, equity, and professional growth, ensuring that every team member is valued, empowered, and given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Falcon Software’s success.

Fair Compensation and Employee Growth

Falcon Software is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all employees and contracted resources. We ensure that all team members are paid at or above the industry standard, offering competitive wages and benefits that reflect the cost of living in British Columbia.

Beyond financial compensation, we invest in our employees’ long-term success through:

  • Comprehensive benefits packages that support employees’ financial, physical, and mental well-being.
  • Career development programs, mentorship opportunities, and internal advancement initiatives.
  • Employee training and apprenticeship programs, including ongoing skills development, certifications, and leadership training.

Our commitment to pay equity, professional development, and long-term employee growth reinforces our belief that a well-supported workforce is key to business and community success.

Environmental Sustainability and Green Practices

At Falcon Software, we recognize the importance of environmental stewardship and actively integrate sustainable practices into our operations.

Remote Work and Office Efficiency: A significant portion of our workforce operates remotely, reducing commuting-related carbon emissions and minimizing our reliance on non-renewable resources. Additionally, we have strategically downsized our administrative office to enhance energy efficiency and reduce our environmental footprint.

Eco-Friendly Office Space: Our Victoria office is located in a newly constructed mass timber building, featuring advanced sustainability measures such as:

  • Large windows that maximize natural light
  • Motion-triggered LED lighting
  • Geothermal temperature regulation
  • Raised floors with an advanced airflow system

Paperless Operations & IT Sustainability: We have nearly eliminated paper and printing usage within our organization and are committed to prolonging the lifecycle of our IT infrastructure to reduce electronic waste.

We continuously seek opportunities to adopt innovative, sustainable business practices that align with our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Community Engagement and Social Impact

Falcon Software has a long-standing commitment to supporting not only the local Victoria community but also the broader Canadian community in which it operates. Through the Falcon Community Involvement Program Group (FCIP Group), founded by Falcon Software, the company has actively contributed to numerous non-profit organizations by developing and deploying websites, hosting fundraising events, and facilitating donation campaigns.

Beneficiaries of our initiatives include:

  • Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
  • Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind
  • BC SPCA
  • Wounded Warriors BC
  • Westshore Warriors Youth Football Association

We remain dedicated to fostering partnerships that drive positive social change and strengthen community well-being.

Land Acknowledgement and Commitment to Reconciliation

Falcon Software respectfully acknowledges that our operations in Langford, British Columbia, take place on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish People, including the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations.

We recognize the enduring cultural, social, and economic contributions of Indigenous communities and are committed to fostering reconciliation, education, and collaboration. We express our gratitude to these Nations for their stewardship of this land and strive to support initiatives that promote mutual understanding and respect.
